Yes, I’ve been MIA for what seems like years now. A huge apology to the wonderful fellow bloggers whose posts I’ve been unable to follow and another huge apology to anyone who follows this blog and looks forward to my posts.
Life has been slightly busy and while I’ve bought a ton of makeup in that time, I’ve barely found a peaceful moment in which to review any of it.
So today I bring to you something I’ve been using almost daily since I bought it a few weeks ago: MUA’s Pro-Base Prime & Conceal in the shade Yellow. This is basically a primer and a concealer (no shit, Sherlock), and it has won my heart.

Let’s get to the good and the bad.
This product is a fantastic primer. It literally blurs out my blemishes. On most days, I wear this over my moisturizer and it evens out my complexion and makes it look brighter.
Worn under makeup, it makes my foundation/BB cream look better and brighter and makes it blend into my skin quite well.
The shade looks insanely yellow in the pan and the swatch, but rest assured, it blends out well into the skin and brightens it up.
As a concealer, this product offers medium coverage and has to be layered, though it doesn’t look cakey unless your skin is dry.
The finish is something close to semi-matte; while it isn’t oily, it makes the skin look more radiant. If you have dry skin, I’d advise you to moisturize well under this primer.
In cold weather it lasted for a good 6-7 hours on me before I washed my face for the night.
All in all, it is wonderful worn on its own and as a makeup base.
The price paid is reasonable for the quantity offered.
Like I said, you will need moisturizer under it of you have dry skin.
Dipping your finger into the pan = hygiene issues.
I also dislike that they offer just 3.4 g of product. This is a tw0-in-one product, FGS. GIMME MOAR.
Also, I think this particular shade will suit medium to deep skin tones more. They have a Lavender shade which I believe might suit lighter skin tones better.
Availability is an issue as it is only available online.
I apply this with my finger and when I use it under my makeup, I apply it with the MUA F10 brush in circular movements all over my face.
Do I recommend this product?
If you want a brightening primer and you have light/medium to deep skin, this is a great inexpensive option. I personally love it and will likely repurchase if it is in stock online.
Check out MUA online to see if this is in stock.
