So I’ll tell you right now I love this liner. If you wish to know details, the review starts below!
About this liner, Rimmel states:
Long wear wood pencil lip liner. Comfortable wear up to 8 hours. Soft, creamy texture glides on precisely to lips. Rich vibrant colour blends without bleeding.
This liner is available 13 shades, and I have 2, including my beloved Wild Clover, and now Spice. (Btw, I’d review Wild Clover but the one I have is tiny and sad-looking, and I can’t find it in stock anywhere these days. *SOB*)
Spice is a warm, um, spicy (?) color. Basically its a great MLBB shade, very neutral, brownish pink (more brown than pink). It can be used on its own or as a base shade for another color. I think it would suit most skin tones without washing the face out.
It has a matte finish. Yay.
Not a twist-up pencil, btw. Which is sad, I like the twist-up ones because I don’t like sharpening.
Ooh, I’ve read multiple times that this is a dupe for MAC Spice. I can’t corroborate that claim as I do not own the MAC version. But that’s okay, I love this one, so.
- Neutral, every-day brownish pink, MLBB shade. Interestingly, this looks darker IRL, more brown than pink, but it shows up (verrry slightly) lighter in pictures.
- Would suit most skin tones and not wash out your face
- Matte finish
- Long lasting for sure. Survived a Happy Meal with McNuggets, fries, and Coke, on my lips. (Not endorsing Happy Meals here, btw.)
- Not a twist up pencil and may break when sharpening. (Tip: To avoid this, keep your lip pencils in the fridge. That hardens them up a bit and they don’t break when sharpened but still apply easily on the lips.)
(Again, apologies for the crappy lip swatch. Trying to work on toning the crappiness down.)
